SPOTNIB is used to treat Chronic myelogenous leukemia (CML), Acute lymphocytic leukemia (ALL), Gastrointestinal stromal tumors (GISTs) and other types of cancer.

Spotnib is a type of targeted therapy known as a tyrosine kinase inhibitor. Its targets include tyrosine kinase proteins. These abnormal proteins are found at the surface of certain cancer cells. They send constant signals telling the cells to divide and stay alive. By blocking these signals, imatinib can stop the cells from growing and cause them to die.

SPOTNIB is given through oral route, Usually taken once a day. However, At higher doses, dose may be split in half, taking it once in the morning and once later in the day. It should be taken with a meal and a large glass of water to avoid gastric irritation. If you have trouble swallowing, the tablet may be completely dissolved in water, then swirled and swallowed. The dose depends on the reason you are taking it and on other factors such as your blood counts, liver and kidney function.
